I graduated from Fort Myers High School in 2019 as an IB student. I currently attend Northwestern University as a journalism major in the Medill School of Journalism. In addition to journalism, I am pursuing a minor in psychology. I have interned for The Borgen Project, a non-profit that advocates for legislation aimed at eliminating poverty, and Avant-Y News, a web-based publication that provides actionable news to Atlanta's youth.
I possess a sharp eye for detail, which I use to find even the smallest errors in text. I am trained in AP style. I work well under pressure and can produce high-quality work in short periods of time. I have strong interpersonal skills and work well with a wide variety of people.
I am looking for an opportunity to intern with a team that aims to use the power of written word in order to raise awareness and create societal change. I want to learn from professionals in the journalism field and continue to improve my journalistic skills. I am always looking to challenge myself by taking on difficult stories and interviews.
